Tampa Wedding Photography by Yours Truly
Allie was referred to me by one of my favorite clients, Amanda and Chris. Like with so many Florida weddings during rainy season, it rained. And it rained. But we made the absolute best of it and as you can see, we captured her wedding day exactly as it happened, emotions and all. Plus, the purple and soft pastels really brought the wedding décor to life! I just loved how elegant everything was and despite the rain, how much fun the reception was. There were so many people who could REALLY “bust a move,” It was fun taking their pictures while “getting down!” Every bride wants her guests to feel relaxed and have a great time. The dance floor will tell you if you’ve achieved your goal and Allie rocked it. Lee, you rocked it to in your own “Lee” way! I’m taking fancy dance moves that would make Fred Astaire jealous.
We started off at the Bilmar Beach Resort in the Penthouse and I must confess, I was impressed by the size of the suite and it’s décor. The ceremony was held at the Pass-A-Grille Community church where I got banned for life for moving a tiny bit during the ceremony, and we ended up at the St Pete Beach Community Center! Whoa, you say, go back to the ban! I’ve been documenting weddings for over 2 decades and I’ve never been banned from anywhere EVER but this particular Pastor just decided that because I moved during the ceremony, I was 86 worthy. The thing is, it’s his right and it’s his church. The moral to this little blog story though is to do the best you can and know that you will NEVER please everyone.
Ok, on with the blog post. It rained continuously and Allie didn’t want to get her hair or dress wet. I can’t say I blame her, just look at how adorable she is. Yikes! But with just minutes left until sunset, Allie, the trooper that she is, agreed to go outside for a few shots
