Megan and James’ Gatsby themed wedding was authentic in every way, from the cigar roller to the dancers! So much care was put into this intimate affair and although it rained during most of the reception, it didn’t matter. Everyone was cozy and comfortable inside the mansion and with the amazing food and open bar, it didn’t rain on the wedding parade one iota!
I began at the Vinoy for my favorite part of a wedding day, the bride getting ready! Well, one of my favorite things…….Megan decided to surprise James with a Bridal Boudoir! Of course, I can’t share those pictures, however, Megan rocked our little session! The rest of the evening was filled with a talented orchestra, a cigar roller (poor guy had to move due to the rain) and some super jazzy dancers. These girls were absolutely adorable, complete with dimples. The deserts had me drooling as I reminded myself that I was a mission to lose 10 pounds. I wanted to dive face first into the cakes and only come up for air. Ok, I’m kidding, I really don’t bomb the brides wedding cakes but you have to agree that they look pretty darn bombable. (I’m not sure it that’s a word but I like it so there it is)
This wedding was a blend of Gatsby, elegance, glitter, and a boat load of awesome sauce. Don’t you agree?
