Venue: Cypress Run Golf Club
This wedding is about a blended family and a second chance at love. Although Jodi and Todd have been together for 10 years, a formal commitment such as marriage, is a huge step when it’s your second time around at love. We all pray that our marriages are a commitment that lasts our entire life time, but in reality, it always doesn’t work out that way. It didn’t work out that for me either but I honestly believe that sometimes we don’t find our soul mate on the first round of love. We may find someone that added significantly to our lives but as the divorce proceedings move forward, we wonder “am I really losing my soul mate or is he/she still waiting for me out there in the big world?” I believe that some people can have more than one soul mate in this life or sometimes, it takes some trial and error to find him or her. Jodi and Todd have definitely found that in one another and I couldn’t be happier for them! Their DIY wedding was inspired by Valentine’s day with red and a black accent. Her friend, Penny, helped with the decorating and baked a gorgeous cake. Penny’s husband, was the officiant. Yes, it was definitely a wedding among family and close friends! I can’t thank those at the Cypress Run County Club enough for all of their assistance and for providing such a beautiful venue for their wedding.
