I met Sarah and her mom years ago at my house for a little fashion fun aka shoot. We were all sparkly and shiny, complete with strobe lights and a backdrop. Being a part of their wedding day was like hanging out with an old friend and I even got to meet Felix, the cat! It was an intimate wedding with family and friends but so often, those are the most fun. Sarah and William just love to laugh and we tried to blend the romance of the day with their unique and adorable personalities. I just love it when my brides aka friends feel comfortable enough in front of my camera to be themselves. The free spirit always shine through and it’s one of the things I love about my job. It doesn’t hurt to have a little modeling experience either. William is in the Navy and boarded his ship the other day. Although Sarah feels a little down, she will have these pictures to brighten her day and know that he loves her more than anything else in the world.
Sarah was using 24 hour lipstick and I know from experience what missing your lips can do. I had a Bozo the Clown look the entire time it took me to get to the store for some serious makeup remover. Anyway, laughing while putting that deadly, but gorgeous, lip color on is dangerous business .Guess we like living on the edge.
Felix was having fun exploring my camera bag so we decided to GQ him but he didn’t go for it. He was more like a “put me down so I can keep going through your stuff” kinda guy.
This is William’s special smile aka smirk. It’s the little things that make us so special, don’t you think?
