I must have talked to Ashley’s mom, Linda, a dozen times before finally meeting her in person on Ashley and Chris’ wedding day. We wanted to go over all of the details and basically just chat about the upcoming day. I miss those conversations so if you’re reading this Linda, call me. Ahem. The ceremony was held in a gorgeous little chapel constructed in 1893 according to the “gothic” carpentry style. The stained glass windows were crafted by Tiffany Studios and the crucifix suspended above the entrance was originally hung in the St. George Abbey in Three Rivers, Michigan. The little chapel was just gorgeous and I could see why Ashley and Chris wanted to get married in this elegant little piece of heaven.
Ashley didn’t want Chris to see her before the wedding so Linda brought her in from the side.
Prior to the ceremony, we took some pics of Chris, the groomsman, Ashley, and her bridesmaids.
Chris’ brother was the officiate at their wedding.
Now that’s a happy groom.
I love taking pics of wedding munchkins. They are so adorable.
The reception was a country theme put together by both families. A great DIY example on how far a little imagination can take you.
A touching moment with Chris and his mom.
