Denise and James’ wedding day is next month and I can’t wait to be there to capture all the details and emotions. Denise texted me a photo of her gown and it’s simply stunning. Beautiful gown + gorgeous smile = awesomeness. Anyway, I’ve been asked several times why I encourage couples to have an engagement shoot with their wedding photographer (whether it’s me or not) because it lets you get to know one another a little before the wedding day. It’s also an ideal time to go over posing tips and the wedding day in general. Add awesome photos to the mix along with just having fun, and it’s a win-win all around. I include e-sessions in almost all of my collections and I can say that I am always glad I did for so many different reasons but the most important reason is that I’ve feel like I’ve REALLY become friends with my brides.
James proposed to Denise at the Lighthouse in Ponce Inlet (Daytona) so they chose that location for their e-session photos. It was an overcast day (love those) with clouds that threatened to rain on us but we made it through without making a mad dash for cover.
Denise laughed at the white socks so I couldn’t resist taking a shoe/sock pic.
We ran into this little cutie pie and she just loved my camera. Everytime I pressed the shutter button, her little ears went up like a rocket. So adorable, I wanted to pick her up and smother her with kisses but the owner probably wouldn’t have appreciated that.
I like Denise’s expression in this pic.
James struck a pose.
Yes, we knew these next two images were a little cheesy but we thought they would be cute.
