I have some exciting new ventures I’m engaging in this year. One is Senior City, a website and brand devoted specifically to seniors and a personal progect I’ve titled, Sultry City. Sultry City is a series that will reveal the “sultriness” (not sure if that’s a word) in all men and women. It goes beyond boudoir and each shoot will have a different look from studio to urban settings. I thought that this young lady would be a great fit for my first Sultry City shoot and I was elated when she said she could meet with me. Although there wasn’t much time to prepare, I thought it would be best to shoot her in a natural environment with everyday cloths and earth tone makeup. I just wanted her to look “earthy” and to be who she really was….and sultry is definitely on that long list of the wonderful things she is made of. Let’s add sweet, kind, and smart to the bag and she is definitly on my “A” list. With only a few days to prepare, I contacted my friend and fellow photographer, Lidia Carr, hoping she could help me with a location. To my delight, she offered her home that sits on a gorgeous 5 acres for us to romp around in and shoot for the day. I can’t thank them enough for hanging out with me and I’m looking foward to my next “Sultry City” shoot.
I just loved the natural look on Alicia’s face and those eyes are to die for!
